Integrative psychotherapy and clinical supervision, working with the mind and the nervous system together, in person in Cambridge or online.
My work draws on person-centred, existential and somatic approaches, adapted to what each client actually needs rather than a single fixed model. Some of what brings people to therapy responds well to being talked through; some of it sits in the body and doesn't move until it's addressed there directly.
I trained in Somatic Experiencing, alongside postgraduate training in person-centred and existential therapy, and I bring all three into the room. I'll talk things through where that helps, and work somatically where the nervous system is holding something that language hasn't reached yet.
Change tends to happen when the thinking mind and the felt sense of the body are both included in the work, rather than asking one to override the other.
Individual therapy for adults and clinical supervision for practitioners, both available in person or online.
One-to-one psychotherapy for adults, integrating talking therapy with somatic work where it's useful. Sessions run weekly, in person in Cambridge or online by video.
In person · OnlineIndividual and group supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists, drawing on an integrative and somatically-informed frame. Suited to practitioners wanting supervision that engages the body, not only the case material.
Individual · GroupThese are the areas I see most often in the room, though they're not the limit of what we can work with.
